Get away from the daily grind and into the adventure – short cycling trips!

Sometimes three days are all it takes – and you come back feeling like you've been away for a week. Short cycling holidays are perfect for anyone who doesn't want to wait: a long weekend, a spontaneous break, a few days out of the daily routine. No elaborate planning, no long holiday required.

Our short cycling holidays last between 3 and 6 days and take you through some of the finest cycling regions in Germany and Europe – along the Moselle through vineyards, around Lake Constance, along the Baltic Sea coast or through the cultural landscapes of Franconia. Luggage transfer and hotels are included on all tours.

Simply choose your tour and date, enjoy the anticipation – we'll take care of the rest.

Little time, big impact

Short cycling trips have a quality all of their own. Anyone who spends three or four days on a bike finds themselves switching off more quickly than they might expect – because the rhythm of cycling, arriving at your destination and exploring clears your head. No need for a long holiday, no weeks of preparation. Just set off and see how far three days can take you.

That’s why many of our guests don’t book short cycling trips as a substitute for their big summer holiday – but as something extra. As a break in between, as an extended weekend, or as a reward after a long month at work.

The most beautiful regions for short cycling trips

There’s plenty to choose from. If you prefer a leisurely, flat route, a short cycling break around Lake Constance offers four days exploring one of Europe’s most beautiful lakes – through three countries, along lakeside promenades, with stages of around 45 kilometres. The weekend cycle tour along the Moselle takes you from Trier to Koblenz through vineyards and past medieval castles.

Those who prefer to explore riverside landscapes will find the short Weser cycle tour takes them on a five-day journey through the land of the Brothers Grimm – from Hann. Münden to Hamelin. And for those who want to venture further afield: the cycle tours in Flanders lead from Bruges to the North Sea coast and to a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Short cycling trips

From leisurely to sporty – short cycling trips for all levels

Short cycling trips do not automatically mean easy stages. The options range from leisurely tours covering 30 to 45 kilometres a day – ideal for occasional cyclists or anyone who simply wants to enjoy a relaxed ride – to more challenging tours covering 65 to 90 kilometres a day.

The weekend cycle tour along the Baltic Sea, for example, covers 40 kilometres a day on mainly flat terrain, whereas the cycle tour along the Kiel Canal covers 90 kilometres for those who want to really put the pedal to the metal, even on short trips. The details on stage length and topography for each tour will help you make the right choice.

On a short cycling tour with us, there’s one thing you don’t have to worry about: the organisation. Your luggage is transported to the next hotel every day – you simply cycle with whatever fits in your rucksack. Detailed route information, including maps, route descriptions and tips on places of interest, will be waiting for you on arrival.

The hotels are carefully selected and are located directly on the route – no detours, no searching. And if anything goes wrong along the way – a flat tyre, a question about the route, an unforeseen problem – our emergency helpline is available round the clock.

This leaves your mind free for what really matters: the scenery, the pace, the moment.
