Vineyards, castle ruins and the gentle murmur of the river – the Moselle Cycle Route is one of Germany’s most beautiful riverside cycle routes. Starting in Trier, the country’s oldest city, the classic route takes you along well-maintained, almost flat paths through picturesque wine-growing villages such as Bernkastel-Kues and Cochem, past medieval castles and half-timbered houses, all the way to the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz.

Culture, indulgence and nature go hand in hand here: the Roman Imperial Baths in Trier, the spectacular Moselle loop near Bremm, a glass of Riesling straight from the vineyard – the Moselle offers surprises at every kilometre. The routes are family-friendly, and you set your own pace.
