Round off such a good meal with a delicious glass of Trollinger from the Neckar Valley, a Pinot Gris from the sun-drenched Kaiserstuhl, or a Kleiner Mönch from Alpirsbach.

The Rhine, which has its source in the Swiss Alps, flows unrecognized through Germany's largest lake. From Constance, enjoy the idyllic nature along the Hochrhein, past the impressive Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen to the border triangle near Basel. In the meantime, the Rhine has picked up speed considerably and accompanies you further north through the Upper Rhine Plain along the foothills of the Black Forest.
As the largest contiguous low mountain range in Germany, the Black Forest not only offers you the high spruce forests that are recognizable from afar but also numerous natural beauties here and there, between mountain and valley, such as the Wutach Gorge near Bonndorf or the Wildsee moor near Kaltenbronn. The Rhine Falls near Schaffhausen
The Neckar rises at the edge of the Black Forest. A river and cycle path that virtually takes you right across the Ländle. Past vineyards, lined with castles and medieval half-timbered towns, the Neckar does not have the reputation of being the most romantic river in Germany for nothing. A cycling holiday along the Neckar allows you to take a detour to the German Wine Route, just a few kilometers away.
Another river of superlatives: is the Danube. Cycle it, bit by bit. From its source near Donaueschingen, you embark on a holiday along the second longest river in Europe, which takes you through the scenic Danube valley, along the Swabian Alb to Bavaria, and much further afield. With hardly an incline in sight, the young Danube winds its way through the Upper Danube nature park, offering views of castles, forts and churches, and wonderful countryside.
Away from the main cycle paths, you can discover the Kocher and Jagst rivers in the north-east of Baden-Württemberg. Vineyards and meadows, castles and palaces as well as bridges that allow a curious look at the fish in both rivers are waiting to be discovered. Crossing state borders, the Main-Tauber-Franconian Cycle Eight runs for almost 60 kilometers through Baden-Württemberg. Along this cycle path, you cycle over hills past extensive fruit and wine-growing areas.
The Allgäu, which borders Lake Constance in the north-east, is also not to be sneezed at and offers a wealth of sights such as the seaport of Lindau, the pilgrimage church of Maria Trost in Nesselwang or the Frauentor in Wangen, in addition to a view of the magnificent Alpine panorama. Be sure to try a piece of Allgäu cheese along the way!
