Switch on the coffee machine, kick off his shoes and settle in the sofa: and then the day at the office can really get going for Simon. But when he's not roaming through our offices in socks and singing or cracking jokes, he's much more frequently to be found out and about visiting our partner hotels and planning the tour programmes. He's been ogling cycling Stelvio Pass, Italy's highest mountain pass, and when he sets off we'll all be out to cheer him on.
General Manager & Controlling
On her bike she definitely prefers a steep uphill section to freewheeling the descents. Brazil is her second home. She's the woman with eagle eyes - nothing escapes her. That's why people both appreciate and dread her proofreading talents! Annika juggles with numbers and keeps a careful eye on our booking system.
Nadine looks after the needs of our guests from the comfort of her desk, after working for a long time as a tour guide in the Northern Cape, Greece, Russia and Brazil. Nougat must be kept out of her reach.
She’s done it again: oat biscuits! And loads of them. Last week: brownies. People ‒ muffin tops beware! Dana is just as great at baking as she is at her work in reservations. Her heart is in the right place and she likes being around people. She’s always game for a picnic at the lake. Or a relaxed Sunday brunch. Yep. Relaxed is what it should be.
Takes care of our guests’ travel requests. In her free time she enjoys reading one of her countless books. You might also find her hiking around Lake Constance, in the Alps, or at home in Franconia.
Nicole looks after the needs of our guests in all regions. She is not a typical Swabian: preferring to play tennis and go to parties with friends rather than settle down.
Isabel is not scared of talking back. She is never at a loss for words and has a particularly charming banter. She arrived here from North Germany. And we are very thankful that she did. Now she can off skiing in the winter whenever she wants, which she absolutely loves, and has no long journey getting there.
Judith is incredibly funny. It’s a pleasure to go exploring with her. When it comes to sport, she is ambitious, tenacious and very determined. And sometimes she’ll take on the waiters on Usedom to discuss the percentage of fish in a “fish soup”. Judith loves art more than anything else and is very creative. In reservations she manages to blend out everything around her. And when she does you’ll often hear people calling: “Judith?” “Juuuuuuuuudith!!”
Takes care of our guests’ travel requests. In her free time Sandy, who has made Constance her hometown of choice, loves exploring the Lake Constance region on her bike or in her hiking boots.
Katharina, tell us what you like and what you enjoy doing....
I love the countryside. Sunshine inspires. Eating makes me happy. Sleep’s not that bad either. I’ve been bungee jumping, hopped out of an aeroplane, went paragliding, raced through the desert on a quad-bike, chugged down the Amazon, lived for a while in a slum in Sao Paulo (probably the most dangerous thing I’ve ever done) and stroked tigers and leopards. Harmless things like hiking, cycling and kayaking are OK too though ;).
His tasks change throughout the year - from the compilation of holiday literature to work on the catalogue. He can be spotted on his racing bike or mountain bike around Lake Constance.
Personnel & Quality Management
Heiko is an aficionado and only the “best” chocolate and “de luxe” coffees can be found on his desk. This fondness for high quality matches up excellently with what he does at work, as Heiko is responsible for ensuring that the Radweg-Reisen gears are perfectly lubricated and the staff is happy. He always cycles to work but at weekends he prefers to go by foot, and particularly enjoys hiking up and down the nearby Alps.
Yvonne has been at Radweg-Reisen for a long time already and is responsible for the hotels, the catalogue, statistics and product development. She's experienced quite a bit here and could probably tell you a few stories! She's a true multi-talent - sails, goes snowboarding, plays the euphonium, drives, errr we mean "hunts", bikes through the woods and was born and grew up in Konstanz - which means she's very much into the carnival scene.
Born and bred in Konstanz, he takes care our websites, the company intranet and our database of images. He studied English and carries the Konstanz carnival silly gene. At carnival time he's been seen on the streets of Konstanz as a superhero in tights, a princess in a tutu, or a wolf disguised as granny. He also loves comics and actually prefers skiing to cycling. And he's always up for a game of table football! Which is usually more fun for him than his opponents!
Project Management Technology
Alex keeps everything to do with technology, cables and computers together. He comes from Franconia and as is typical of the dialect there can roll his "r"s perrrrrrfectly. He's got a big heart and a great if not extremely dry sense of humour. In his free time he races through forests and down country paths on his mountain bike, loves biking high mountains and is also a brilliant photographer.
If it's not the travel guides, it's the catalogue. Or the website - there's always something for Katharina to write. Her office is full of knick-knacks - her colleagues are not so keen on! Her waving cat has already been victim to a sneaky attack.
Nele is a historian and specialist for Medieval and Modern History. She's also quite a specialist in a lot of other subjects - so much so that we're soon going to be enrolling her for quiz games. Until then she writes texts for the catalogue and travel documents together with Katharina and has a positive influence on our local printer. There's no such thing as a bad temper around Nele - she's a real sunshine.
Scheduling and Luggage Logistics
Daniel was born in Konstanz and chats in the best Lake Constance dialect. It's good that he can also speak so-called "High German" as otherwise some of his colleagues would have difficulties understanding him. During the carnival season he is a dedicated "Mäschgerle" - which is what the masked carnival characters are called in Konstanz. You might even see him up on stage. At Radweg-Reisen he is responsible for making sure that the luggage transfers all run smoothly.
Samuel is not only a graduate Biologist but also a racing bike specialist. When he was younger he was very successful with his cycling association. He likes to cook but likes "eating even more". Especially curry! He has progressed our logistics site in Lübeck, advancing it on from its beginnings. He once performed a perfect somersault with our luggage van and is now in Konstanz where he's responsible for our luggage drivers.
Sven has a cool collection of films, including some real classics. He could probably eat pizza every single day of the week (whether he's on first name terms with the chef at his favourite Italian restaurant we're not quite sure). Recently he has also developed a passion for green smoothies. Amazing! He originally comes from Freiburg, loves baseball and gets pretty het up about the Bundesliga.
A “Northern Light”, Michael is the man tackling the mountains of paperwork and invoices that have to be dealt with here. It is thanks to his support that payment transactions all run very smoothly.
And if “Receipt Hunting” or “Error Detection” were official Olympic disciplines, he would already count several medals to his name. He also makes sure that everyone in the office has enough to drink. In his free time he plays role-playing games and experiences all kinds of adventures.
He takes great care of our fleet of bicycles and greets guests in Constance when they collect their bicycles. He travels around on every mode of transport with two wheels in his spare time - on one of the numerous bicycles from his own private collection or on one of our e-bikes or even on a motorbike.
Maintains our bicycle fleet and ensures that all bikes are in perfect working order and running like clockwork. In his free time he enjoys building fixed-gear bicycles, which he takes on extensive tours around Lake Constance.
Without Eugen there wouldn't be any easy riding on any of our red bikes. This professional mechanic has three e-bikes of his own at home and also enjoys programming in his free time. He's always got a smile on his lips and a pleasant word.
Dear Mecki is the heart and soul of the workshop and bike hall. He doesn't just keep the entire fleet of bikes and panniers clean but also takes care of our small garden. He's a true football fan and cheers "his" SC Freiburg team on when they play live at the stadium. He masters steep inclines on his bike like no other. Not even e-bikers can catch him up - respect!
This well-travelled globetrotter welcomes our guests in Constance. With his openness and good sense of humour, this Eintracht Braunschweig fan turns every arrival into a unique experience.
