The Loire Valley Castles

Historical round trip from Tours in 8 days / 7 nights from 599,- €
The Loire Valley Castles - Chambord

On this tour you can cycle past the highly-esteemed "Gardens of France" in which several hundred castles, estates and dream houses are located. This is where the higher nobility fulfilled their dream homes to leave us with a wealth of castles that have been recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. These towns, which are bursting with history, form a delightful contrast to the rural charm of the Loire Valley. A certain basic level of fitness is an advantage for the Loire Valley Castle tour.

There are two versions of this tour:

Category B: Accommodation in hotels, country guesthouses and bed and breakfasts in the national 2* category.
Category A: Accommodation in comfortable hotels and country guesthouses in the national 2*/3* category.

Right into the 16th century, the town was visited regularly by the King and his court. After damage from the war, the medieval town centre was carefully rebuilt, including the mighty cathedral as focal point. Reserved rental bicycles are parked at the hotel ready for you.
