Itinerary

Day 1

Individual arrival in Utrecht

Your cycling tour in Holland begins in Utrecht. The city grew up around the Dom, which boasts the highest church tower in the Netherlands. You have 465 steps to climb if you want to enjoy a unique view over the city from the tower. It's practically impossible to get lost in Utrecht because you can't lose sight of the 112-metre-high tower. The city center is small enough to explore on foot. There are lovely cafés and restaurants along the picturesque canals.

Day 2

Utrecht – Amsterdam

approx. 55 km

After breakfast, you set off on the first stage of your cycling tour in Holland. Cycle along the rivers Vecht and Amstel towards Amsterdam. There is a lot to discover and experience in the capital of the Netherlands – picturesque canals, a rich history and an extraordinary atmosphere. Take a leisurely canal cruise to see the city from a different perspective. Or how about a visit to the Rijksmuseum, the Anne Frank House or a walk in the Vondelpark?

Day 3

Amsterdam – Zandvoort

approx. 40 km

Today's stage takes you from Amsterdam to Haarlem. The imposing St. Bavo's Church will catch your eye from afar. The Frans Hals Museum, which is dedicated to the important portrait painter of the Golden Age, is also well worth a visit. Then it's off to the North Sea to Zandvoort. Long sandy beaches characterize the image of the seaside resort and former fishing village. Watch windsurfers on the sea while you let the North Sea wind blow around your nose.

Day 4

Zandvoort – Den Haag

approx. 50 km

Your cycling tour in Holland takes you along the North Sea coast and through extensive dune areas to The Hague. Along the way, you will always have the opportunity to stop for a swim at the beach. Or how about a detour to the Keukenhof? The gardens attract countless flower lovers, especially when the tulips are in bloom. The Hague, the political center of the Netherlands, awaits you with a variety of museums, historic buildings and cozy restaurants.

Day 5

Den Haag – Rotterdam

approx. 50 km

Leaving Den Haag behind you, you cycle inland. You reach Delft, one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. The city is world-famous for its Delft Blue. The ceramics have their origins in the 16th century. If skyscrapers appear on the horizon, your destination for the day, Rotterdam, is not far away. The city's seaport is one of the largest in the world. After checking in at the hotel, take a boat tour of the port or enjoy a fantastic view of the city from the viewing platform of the Euromast.

Day 6

Rotterdam – Gouda

approx. 55 km

Start the day with a stroll through Rotterdam before hopping on your bike in the direction of Kinderdijk. The windmills there date back to the 18th century and are among the most famous sights in the Netherlands. Your destination, Gouda, is particularly famous for the cheese of the same name. In the summer months, the cheese market traditionally takes place every Thursday. If you prefer sweet to savory, try stroopwafels, a Dutch specialty that was invented in Gouda.

Day 7

Gouda – Utrecht

approx. 50 km

Today's stage on your cycling tour in Holland takes you past atmospheric rivers, wide polders, lakes and marshy moorland to Utrecht. If you are interested in art, we recommend a visit to the Centraal Museum, where you can marvel at old masters and contemporary works. If you would like to get to know Utrecht from the water, a canal cruise is a good idea.

Day 8
